Spread the love

1. Arrive on Time: Show respect to your date by being punctual. If you’re running late, communicate this ahead of time.

2. Dress Appropriately: Consider the location and atmosphere of your date and dress accordingly. Personal grooming is also important to make a good impression.

3. Mind Your Manners: Use polite language, maintain good table etiquette, and be courteous to both your date and others around you.

4. Stay Off Your Phone: Give your full attention to your date and avoid spending too much time on your phone, especially during conversations.

5. Be a Good Listener: Actively listen to what your date has to say with genuine interest. Remember, communication is a two-way street.

6. Be Yourself: Make sure that you remain true to who you are, as honesty and authenticity are key to building a connection with someone else.

7. Make an Effort to Connect: Find common ground by talking about shared interests, asking open-ended questions, and showing genuine curiosity about their life experiences.

8. Keep Things Light: Steer clear of heavy or controversial topics on early dates. You want the conversation to be relaxed, enjoyable, and focused on getting to know each other.

9. Be Respectful of Boundaries: Always pay attention to any personal boundaries that have been set and respect them without question.

10. Show Appreciation: Express gratitude for the time spent together, whether it was meal that was paid for or something as simple as enjoying each other’s company.

11. Be a Gentleman/Lady: Acts of chivalry like holding doors open or offering help when needed can leave a lasting positive impression.

12. Maintain Appropriate Body Language: Make eye contact and engage in friendly gestures like smiling or nodding during the conversation to convey your interest and affection.

13. Follow Up After the Date: Sending a polite text message or giving your date a call to express your gratitude for the time spent together will show your continued interest and commitment to building a deeper connection.

Incorporating these 13 tips can go a long way toward cultivating a successful and enjoyable dating experience for both you and your date.

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech. We hope to provide a well-rounded, multi-faceted look at the past, present, the future of EdTech in the US and internationally.

We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
