In today’s busy world, staying connected with friends is more important than ever. Despite our hectic schedules, maintaining connection with our loved ones can improve our well-being and keep the bond strong. Here are 12 ways to keep in touch with friends, no matter how busy life gets.

1. Social Media: Staying updated on your friends’ lives through social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter can help you maintain an ongoing connection. Like, comment, and share their posts to show your support and interest.

2. Video Calls: Schedule regular video calls using tools like FaceTime, Skype, or Zoom. This way, you can not only catch up but also see their facial expressions and body language.

3. Group Chats: Create a group chat over a messaging app like WhatsApp, where friends can send quick updates, share photos or links, and respond when they have time available.

4. Handwritten Letters: Take the time to write a heartfelt letter and send it through snail mail. It’s a unique way to express your emotions and show that you’re thinking of them.

5. Phone Calls: A good old-fashioned phone call never goes out of style. Try calling your friends when you have some downtime to catch up on each other’s lives.

6. Email Newsletters: Create a monthly email newsletter with life updates, links to articles or videos that interest you, recipes, or other interesting content tailored for each friend.

7. Plan get-togethers: When possible, schedule in-person get-togethers like barbecues or game nights so everyone can spend quality time together.

8. Engage in Mutual Hobbies: Keep in touch by participating in shared hobbies such as joining a sports team or taking classes together where you can bond over shared interests.

9. Send Surprise Packages: Brighten someone’s day by sending them a care package with a personal touch, snacks, or trinkets related to their hobbies.

10. Text Messages: Send a quick text message to let your friend know you’re thinking of them. Asking how their day was or sharing a funny meme can help maintain regular communication.

11. Share a Calendar: Create digital calendars and share them with friends to keep track of each other’s birthdays, anniversaries, and special events.

12. Travel Together: Plan trips together to spend quality time as a group, be it a weekend getaway or an extended vacation.

Keeping in touch with friends takes effort, but these 12 methods can make it easier and more enjoyable than ever. Never underestimate the power of connection – staying close to your friends nurtures the soul and adds happiness to your life.

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech. We hope to provide a well-rounded, multi-faceted look at the past, present, the future of EdTech in the US and internationally.

We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
