1. It’s Okay to Show Emotion: Many men grow up believing that showing emotion is a sign of weakness. However, expressing emotions is crucial for a healthy mental state and can strengthen relationships with others.

2. Prioritizing Health Matters: Often, men realize late in life that neglecting their health can lead to serious consequences. Regular check-ups, a balanced diet, and exercise are essential.

3. Work Isn’t Everything: While ambition is commendable, many men learn that dedicating all time to career leaves little room for personal growth and relationships. Work-life balance is crucial.

4. Vulnerability Is Strength: Opening up and being vulnerable can be terrifying for many men, but it’s also the key to authentic connections and personal growth.

5. Listening Is as Important as Speaking: Communication isn’t just about getting your point across; it’s also about understanding others. Active listening can greatly improve relationships.

6. Financial Responsibility Pays Off: Many men learn too late that saving money and investing wisely are critical for long-term financial security.

7. Failure Is Part of Success: Fear of failure often holds men back from trying new things. Accepting failure as a learning experience is essential for personal and professional growth.

8. Relationships Require Effort: Successful relationships don’t just happen; they require continuous effort, communication, compromise, and nurturing.

9. Self-Care Isn’t Selfish: Taking time for oneself isn’t selfish; it’s necessary to recharge and maintain well-being.

10. The Pursuit of Perfection Is Futile: Chasing perfection leads to constant dissatisfaction. Accepting imperfections and focusing on progress rather than perfection can lead to a more fulfilling life.

11. Patience Is a Virtue: In the instant gratification world we live in, patience truly is a virtue and often leads to better outcomes in various facets of life.

12. Legacy Is More than Material Success: As men age, many realize the significance of the legacy they leave behind, which includes the impact on their loved ones and community rather than just material wealth or status.

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech. We hope to provide a well-rounded, multi-faceted look at the past, present, the future of EdTech in the US and internationally.

We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
