The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) has provided fans not only with action-packed superhero showdowns and intricate storylines but also with memorable song and dance moments that have contributed to character development and given audiences a respite from the tension. Here are the 12 best song and dance moments in the MCU, ranked:

12. “Ants Marching” – ‘Ant-Man’:

When Scott Lang transforms into Ant-Man for the first time, the use of Dave Matthews Band’s “Ants Marching” gives a playful nod to his tiny, insect-sized heroics.

11. “Trouble Man” – ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’:

Sam Wilson, a.k.a. Falcon, introduces Steve Rogers to Marvin Gaye’s classic track “Trouble Man,” encapsulating the entire modern world’s culture in one album according to him.

10. “All The Stars” – ‘Black Panther’:

At the end of ‘Black Panther’, Kendrick Lamar’s “All The Stars” plays over the credits, providing a perfect closure to T’Challa’s journey while paying homage to African culture.

9. “Primm’s Can Can” – ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2’:

Played during Rocket Raccoon and Groot’s booby-trap montage, this piece adds a humorous tempo as Rocket outwits his Ravager pursuers.

8. “Shoop” – ‘Deadpool’:

Deadpool’s irreverent humor is perfectly showcased in his dance moves as Salt-N-Pepa’s hit song is paired with one of the film’s high-octane action scenes.

7. “September” – ‘Avengers: Endgame’:

In a heartwarming scene from ‘Avengers: Endgame,’ Tony Stark and Pepper Potts share a moment dancing to Earth, Wind & Fire’s “September,” creating an oasis of peace before the imminent battle.

6. “Come And Get Your Love” – ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’:

Arguably one of the most iconic MCU scenes, Star-Lord dancing across an alien planet to this track by Redbone sets up his character as a lovable rogue.

5. “Celebration” – Spider-Man: Homecoming:

Peter Parker shows off some awkward yet endearing dance moves at Liz’s party while Kool & The Gang’s festive hit plays in the background emblematic of Peter’s striving for normalcy amid his superhero life.

4. “The Rubberband Man” – ‘Avengers: Infinity War’:

As we’re re-introduced to the Guardians of the Galaxy, The Spinners’ funk hit provides both levity and foreshadows group dynamics in these darker times.

3. “I Want You Back” – ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy’:

Baby Groot stole hearts with his crib-side rendition of this Jackson 5 classic, providing a light-hearted end to an otherwise intense space adventure.

2. “American Pie” – ‘Captain America: Civil War’:

Seeing Tony Stark somberly play this Don McLean song while reflecting on his parents adds depth to his character just before chaos ensues in Civil War.

1. “Dancing In The Moonlight” – ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 1’:

Topping our list is another moment from the Guardians franchise featuring Quill encouraging Gamora to dance with him—a beautiful blend of humor, music, and character bonding under the stars of another planet.
