Dealing with a narcissist can be challenging, especially when it comes to maintaining harmony in personal relationships and faith. Turning to the Bible for guidance on how to manage these interactions can provide valuable insights. Here are 11 ways that you can biblically deal with a narcissist:

1. Pray for them: Praying for the well-being of a narcissist and asking for God’s intervention can nurture empathy and facilitate personal growth (Matthew 5:44).

2. Set boundaries: Protect yourself by setting limits on how much time and energy you give to a narcissist, as Jesus demonstrated when he withdrew from those who were unaccepting (Matthew 10:14).

3. Practice humility: Be humble and avoid getting sucked into power struggles with a narcissistic person (Philippians 2:3-4).

4. Speak the truth in love: When conversing with a narcissist, express your thoughts and feelings objectively but always with love and compassion (Ephesians 4:15).

5. Exercise forgiveness: Follow Christ’s example of forgiving others, even if they have hurt you deeply (Colossians 3:13).

6. Seek wise counsel: Turn to trusted friends, family members, or spiritual leaders for guidance in dealing with a narcissist (Proverbs 15:22).

7. Show kindness: Respond to any aggression or negativity from a narcissist with kindness, as it can have a powerful impact on them (Romans 12:20-21).

8. Practice patience: Remember that transformation takes time; be patient with the narcissist while they grow towards self-awareness and change (Ephesians 4:2).

9. Imitate Christ’s example: Model Christ-like behavior by demonstrating love, compassion, and gentleness in your interactions with a narcissist. This can often arouse a desire for change in the other person (1 Corinthians 11:1).

10. Cultivate self-awareness: Sincerely evaluate your own tendencies and behaviors to ensure that you are not contributing to the narcissist’s negative patterns (Matthew 7:3-5).

11. Trust in God’s plan: Put your faith in God and trust that He will ultimately guide both you and the narcissist on the path towards healing and growth (Proverb

Incorporating these biblical principles into your interactions with a narcissist can help lay the foundation for healthier, more fulfilling relationships rooted in both empathy and faith.
