1. “I’m doing well, thank you! How about you?”

This is a simple and polite response that can lead to more conversation. It’s a great way to show that you’re also interested in how the other person is doing.

2. “All good here! How’s your day going?”

This response is friendly and can open the door for further discussion about each other’s day.

3. “Hanging in there! What’s new with you?”

This response acknowledges that things might not be perfect, but you’re coping and open to discussing new events or updates in the other person’s life.

4. “Feeling great, thanks for asking! Have any fun plans for the weekend?”

By sharing your positive emotions and asking about their plans, you’re showing interest and engaging in conversation.

5. “Not too bad, just busy with work/school/life. How’s everything on your end?”

If you’re feeling overwhelmed or preoccupied, this honest answer still invites further conversation without dwelling on negativity.

6. “I’ve been better, but I’m hanging in there. How are you?”

It’s okay to admit when you’re not feeling your best. This response provides an opportunity for support from the other person while also inquiring about their well-being.

7. “I’m feeling a bit under the weather today, but I’ll be okay! How are things with you?”

This answer allows you to briefly mention that you’re not feeling well but focuses more on the other person.

8. “Life’s good at the moment! How have things been with you since we last spoke?”

This reply updates them on your current situation and prompts them to share news about their own life as well.

9. “Can’t complain! What’s been keeping you busy lately?”

A neutral response that shifts the focus onto the other person and their recent activities.

10. “Fantastic, thanks! I just got back from a great vacation/had a wonderful weekend/got a promotion at work. How are you?”

Sharing recent positive news about your life can make conversations more engaging and interesting.

11. “I’d love to catch up! Why don’t we schedule a call or grab a coffee soon?”

If you prefer discussing your well-being in person, this response suggests taking the conversation offline and reconnecting in a more personal setting.

In conclusion, there are many ways to respond to a “How Are You” text that can lead to engaging and meaningful conversations. Choose the response that best fits your situation and be open to connecting with others through these simple yet essential interactions.

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech. We hope to provide a well-rounded, multi-faceted look at the past, present, the future of EdTech in the US and internationally.

We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
