1. Cactus Bulletin Board: Create a colorful bulletin board display with pictures of different types of cacti. Add fun facts and educational information about each cactus for an engaging learning experience.

2. Spiky Name Tags: Design name tags in the shape of cacti and let each student decorate their own. Personalized name tags will make students feel welcome and help them remember each other’s names.

3. Cactus Book Corner: Set up a cozy reading nook with cactus-themed pillows, blankets, and a bookshelf filled with books about plants, nature, and desert life. Encourage students to explore books during free time.

4. Cactus Wall Art: Hang cactus-themed artwork created by students around the classroom. This can include paintings, drawings, or collage art. It will add a touch of creativity and personalization to the classroom decor.

5. Cactus Growth Chart: Create a large cactus-shaped growth chart on one of the classroom walls. Measure students’ heights regularly and let them track their growth using cactus-shaped stickers or markers.

6. Cactus Math Center: Set up a math center with cactus-themed manipulatives, such as cactus-shaped counters or cactus-themed number cards. This will make math practice more engaging and fun.

7. Cactus Science Corner: Dedicate a corner of the classroom to hands-on plant science experiments. Grow small cacti in pots, observe their growth, and learn about their unique adaptations to desert environments.

8. Cactus Word Wall: Create a word wall with cactus-shaped cards displaying vocabulary words related to different subjects. This will help students expand their vocabulary and reinforce learning.

9. Cactus Classroom Jobs: Assign different cactus-themed classroom jobs to students, such as a “Cactus Caretaker” responsible for watering the class plants or a “Cactus Librarian” in charge of organizing the classroom library.

10. Cactus Reward System: Implement a cactus-themed reward system to motivate students. Use cactus stickers or small cactus figurines as rewards for good behavior, completing assignments, or achieving goals.

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech. We hope to provide a well-rounded, multi-faceted look at the past, present, the future of EdTech in the US and internationally.

We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
