10 Best Versions Of Rick Sanchez In Rick & Morty, Ranked

In the multiverse of “Rick and Morty,” Rick Sanchez isn’t merely a singular entity; he’s an idea, a phenomenon spanning countless dimensions each with its own unique version. Today we’re ranking the ten best versions of the multiverse’s most notorious mad scientist.

1.Simple Rick – We start our journey with Simple Rick, the man who just wanted to relive fond memories of his daughter. Known for his emotional sincerity, there’s something undeniably endearing about this Rick stripped from corporate exploitation in the Citadel.

2.Rick J-22 – This down-on-his-luck Rick showcases a working-class hero, battling the disenfranchisement within the Citadel. His struggles provide an emotional grounding to the otherwise outlandish array of Ricks.

3.The Scientist Formerly Known As Rick – From a dimension where everything is on the cob, this creatively named Rick captures our imagination and tickles our love for all things quirky.

4.Cop Rick – Tasked with maintaining law and order within the Citadel, Cop Rick offers a glimpse into what happens when authority is vested in someone who is technically a sociopathic genius.

5.Doofus Rick – Often mocked by other Ricks for his lack of malice and incompetence, Doofus Rick’s kindness makes him one of the most human characters in the entire series.

6.Toxic Rick – As an embodiment of all of Rick’s negative qualities, Toxic Rick serves as a fascinating look into what makes him tick when separated from his positive aspects.

7.Detoxified Rick – On the flip side, Detoxified Rick presents us with someone free from all self-loathing and destructive tendencies, thereby offering arguably the healthiest version of our protagonist.

8.Evil Morty’s Puppet President Rick – A chilling reminder that intelligence can be wielded for malevolence, this version makes us question who truly pulls the strings in high places.

9.Council of Ricks Member – While it may be cheating to group them together, each member brings something unique to the table testifying to Rick’s diverse potential for both good and evil on a grand scale.

10.C-137 “Our” Rick – Atop stands our main character: The Rickest-Rick who remains unmatched in his balance between brilliance and depravity; compassion and ruthlessness; love for his family and independence from attachment. He embodies every nuance that makes each variant of him engaging, setting the gold standard for all Ricks across every conceivable universe.

Each iteration of Rick Sanchez brings to light new facets of his character, endowing “Rick and Morty” with an exhilarating complexity that few other shows can match. Whether they evoke empathy or revulsion, these endless versions remind us that identity is as multifaceted and inexhaustible as the cosmos itself.
