Anime has captured the hearts of people all around the world, and with the rise of online streaming, it’s never been easier to access your favorite shows. But with so many sites available, where should you begin? We’ve ranked the top 10 websites for watching anime online to help you find the best place to enjoy your next anime binge.

1.Crunchyroll – Known for its vast selection and timely updates with simulcasts straight from Japan, Crunchyroll is a premium choice for English-subbed anime.

2.Funimation – A close competitor to Crunchyroll offering a large library of dubbed and subbed anime. It’s especially known for popular series like “My Hero Academia.”

3.Netflix – With an expanding collection of exclusive titles and classic anime, Netflix is becoming a strong player in the anime streaming arena.

4.Hulu – Offering a mix of both old and new titles with quality streaming, Hulu is an excellent option for varied content beyond just anime.

5.Amazon Prime Video – Though not as extensive as other services dedicated purely to anime, Prime Video has a respectable selection worth checking out.

6.AnimeLab – For viewers in Australia and New Zealand, AnimeLab provides a terrific array of popular and niche titles similar to what you would find on Crunchyroll or Funimation.

7.VRV – A collaboration between several channels, including Crunchyroll and HIDIVE, giving viewers access to a wide spectrum of anime genres.

8.HIDIVE – A smaller platform that offers a boutique experience with unique titles that are often overlooked on larger sites.

9.Ani.me – A lesser-known but legal streaming site that offers free streaming (with ads) of a select group of series available in the US.

10.Tubi TV – A free streaming service that includes a modest, yet diverse selection of classic and contemporary anime.

Different platforms may shine in different areas such as exclusive content, dubbed options, or membership perks, so choosing the right one depends on your preferences as an avid anime viewer. Remember to check availability in your region as the selection can vary greatly!

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech. We hope to provide a well-rounded, multi-faceted look at the past, present, the future of EdTech in the US and internationally.

We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
