As streaming services become more and more a part of our daily lives, parents are continually on the lookout for quality shows that they can enjoy with their children. OTT platforms have a plethora of options, but not all content is suitable for younger audiences. Finding shows that are both entertaining and appropriate can be a challenge. To help you out, here is a list of the top 10 shows to watch with your kids on various OTT platforms:

1. Bluey (Disney+)

Bluey is an Australian animated series that follows the adventures of a lovable pup named Bluey, who lives with her parents and little sister. The show emphasizes family, imagination, and play, making it perfect for young children.

2. Sesame Street (HBO Max)

A classic that has stood the test of time, Sesame Street mixes education and entertainment to teach kids about numbers, letters, emotions, and social skills through fun characters and catchy songs.

3. Ask the StoryBots (Netflix)

This educational show is designed to answer the many questions kids have about the world around them in a fun and engaging way, with each episode featuring a new quest with the StoryBots team.

4. The Magic School Bus Rides Again (Netflix)

A reboot of the original series, this show takes kids on educational field trips with Ms. Frizzle, now voiced by Kate McKinnon, exploring science topics from the inside of a computer to the depths of the ocean.

5. Carmen Sandiego (Netflix)

The iconic character has been revived for a new generation. The animated series teaches geography and history as Carmen travels around the globe to stop thieves or solve mysteries.

6. Gravity Falls (Disney+)

A bit more suitable for older children due to its complex plots and occasional scary moments, Gravity Falls is full of mystery as two siblings spend their summer in a strange town full of supernatural occurrences.

7. Avatar: The Last Airbender (Netflix)

This beloved animated series is fantastic for both kids and adults with its deep storytelling, rich world-building, and strong moral lessons centered around themes like friendship, honor, and sacrifice.

8. Anne with an E (Netflix)

Based on Lucy Maud Montgomery’s “Anne of Green Gables,” this coming-of-age story set in Prince Edward Island explores themes such as identity, love, and finding one’s place in the world.

9. Wild Kratts (PBS through various platforms)

Join brothers Chris and Martin Kratt as they explore animal science and conservation. Each episode is an adventure into the wild that combines animation with live-action segments.

10. Peppa Pig (Amazon Prime Video)

Aimed at preschoolers, Peppa Pig follows the daily activities of Peppa, her family and friends in short five-minute episodes ideal for younger attention spans while teaching lessons about socialization among other preschool topics.

These 10 shows offer a blend of education and entertainment appropriate for children across various age groups while also ensuring that parents can engage with them positively during screen time.
