Miami, FL – Rapper and “City Girls” member Yung Miami has spoken out for the first time about her relationship with music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs, addressing the swirling rumors and public speculation surrounding their romantic connection.

In a candid interview with Angie Martinez on her “IRL” podcast, Yung Miami addressed the media’s portrayal of her relationship with Diddy, particularly the notion of being “kept” or “sponsored” by him.

“That wasn’t my experience,” she asserted, expressing frustration at the narrative surrounding their relationship. “I feel like people try to make it seem like I’m not independent, like I’m not doing my own thing. But I’ve been doing my own thing for years.”

Yung Miami, known for her sharp lyrics and confident persona, has carved out a successful career in the music industry. She co-founded the “City Girls” alongside JT, achieving chart-topping success with their hit single “Act Up.”

She acknowledged the public’s curiosity about her relationship with Diddy but stressed the importance of respecting her personal life. “I think it’s just important for people to understand that we’re both individuals with our own careers, our own lives,” she explained. “We just happen to be together.”

The rapper also emphasized her dedication to her work, highlighting her upcoming album and future endeavors. “I’m not focused on what people are saying,” she said. “I’m focused on my music, my family, and my future.”

Her comments come amidst recent speculation surrounding the couple’s relationship status, with some sources suggesting a possible break-up. However, Yung Miami’s strong statement and her focus on her career suggest a desire to move past the rumors and continue building her own path.

While Yung Miami chose not to delve deeper into the specifics of her relationship with Diddy, her clear and confident message leaves no doubt about her independence and ambition. This latest statement marks a significant step towards reclaiming her narrative and asserting her position as a successful artist in her own right.
