WhatsApp is a messaging application that has taken over the world by storm. It is used by millions of people across the globe to stay in touch with friends, family, and colleagues. However, one feature of WhatsApp that has caused some controversy is the “last seen” time stamp.

What is WhatsApp Last Seen?

WhatsApp Last Seen is a feature that allows users to see when their contacts were last active on WhatsApp. This feature displays the time and date that a user was last online or when they last opened the app. This feature can be both helpful and annoying, depending on how you use the app. On one hand, being able to see when your friends or family are online can help you know when to message them. On the other hand, it can be frustrating when someone sees your last seen and starts bombarding you with messages.

How to Turn Off or Hide Your Last Seen on WhatsApp

If you’re someone who is not comfortable with sharing their online status or last seen status on WhatsApp, then there’s good news for you. You can easily turn off and hide this feature on WhatsApp. Here’s how to do it:

Step 1: Open the WhatsApp App

The first step is to open the WhatsApp app on your smartphone.

Step 2: Go to Settings

Next, from the main menu, click on the ‘Settings’ option.

Step 3: Select Accounts

In the settings menu, you need to select the option for ‘Accounts’.

Step 4: Click on Privacy

Once you’re in the Accounts settings, you need to click on the ‘Privacy’ option.

Step 5: Choose Last Seen

Under the Privacy menu, you can choose what you want to share with your contacts. Click on the ‘Last Seen’ option.

Step 6: Select ‘Nobody’

Finally, select the option ‘Nobody’. This will hide your ‘Last Seen’ status from all your contacts.

Conclusion

WhatsApp Last Seen is a controversial feature, but it’s one that you can easily control. By turning off the option to share your last seen status, you can enjoy a more private messaging experience with your friends and family. You won’t have to worry about people interpreting your online time as being available for a chat. Instead, you can choose when and how to communicate with the people you care about. So go ahead and turn off those Last Seen notifications today!
