As an Android user, you may have heard of the term “Adaptive Battery” and wondered what it means. In this article, we’ll explain what Adaptive Battery is and help you decide if you should use it.

What Is Adaptive Battery on Android?

Adaptive Battery is a feature that was introduced in Android 9 Pie. It uses machine learning to identify the apps you use most frequently and reduces the battery consumption of those you use less often. By doing so, it can help extend your battery life.

Adaptive Battery works by analyzing your usage patterns and allocating battery resources accordingly. For example, if you rarely use a particular app, Adaptive Battery will limit its access to battery power. This can help your phone’s battery last longer, especially if you have a lot of apps installed.

Should You Use Adaptive Battery?

The answer to this question depends on how you use your phone. If you’re someone who uses their phone heavily throughout the day, Adaptive Battery can be a useful feature. By limiting the battery usage of apps you rarely use, you can make your battery last longer and ensure that your phone is always available when you need it.

However, if you’re someone who uses their phone infrequently or doesn’t have a lot of apps installed, Adaptive Battery may not make much of a difference. In this case, you may want to consider other battery-saving features, such as Power Saving Mode or Battery Saver.

How to Enable Adaptive Battery

If you’ve decided that Adaptive Battery is a feature you want to use, enabling it is easy. Here are the steps to follow:

1. Open the Settings app on your phone.

2. Scroll down and tap on “Battery.”

3. Tap on “Adaptive Battery.”

4. Toggle the switch to turn it on.

Once you’ve enabled Adaptive Battery, your phone will start analyzing your usage patterns and adjusting battery usage accordingly. You can also monitor the performance of Adaptive Battery by checking the battery usage stats in the Settings app.

Conclusion

Adaptive Battery is a useful feature that can help extend your phone’s battery life. By using machine learning to analyze your usage patterns, it can identify and limit the battery usage of apps you rarely use. Whether or not you should use Adaptive Battery depends on your individual usage patterns, but it’s definitely a feature worth considering if you’re looking to improve your phone’s battery life.
