Ways to Fix Wi-Fi Networks Not Showing Up on Windows 11

In today’s world, Wi-Fi networks are crucial for our daily connectivity needs. In Windows 11, there might be instances where Wi-Fi networks are not showing up. This can be due to a variety of reasons ranging from software issues to hardware problems. Here are some ways to fix Wi-Fi networks not showing up on Windows 11.

1. Check your Wi-Fi Adapter

More often than not, the issue of Wi-Fi networks not showing up on Windows 11 is related to your Wi-Fi adapter. The adapter is the physical device that connects your computer to the Wi-Fi network. Make sure it is correctly installed in your PC and is up to date. If you have updated to Windows 11 from Windows 10, the adapter may not have updated correctly. Try updating the adapter manually by going to the manufacturer’s website and downloading the latest driver.

2. Restart Your Computer

Like many technical problems, a simple restart of your computer can resolve the issue of Wi-Fi networks not showing up on Windows 11. Turning off and on your PC is a useful trick that can fix most software-related issues. After the restart, check if the Wi-Fi networks are now showing up.

3. Check Your Wi-Fi Router

Sometimes, the issue may not be with your computer, but with your Wi-Fi router. Check if there are any connectivity issues with the router. Try resetting the router, and check if other devices connected to the router can access the Wi-Fi network. If they can, then the issue might be with your computer.

4. Check Wi-Fi Network Settings

In Windows 11, you can adjust Wi-Fi settings to show all available networks. To do this, search for ‘Wi-Fi settings’ in the search bar, and open the ‘Wi-Fi settings’ page. Scroll down to ‘Manage known networks’ and select ‘Add a network.’ Enter the name of the wireless network, security type, and password. This will add the network to your PC, and it should be visible on your Wi-Fi list.

5. Reinstall Wi-Fi Adapter

If none of the above solutions work, you can try reinstalling the Wi-Fi adapter. To do this, go to ‘Device Manager,’ find the adapter, right-click on it and select ‘Uninstall device.’ Wait for the uninstallation to complete, restart your computer, and let Windows 11 reinstall the Wi-Fi adapter.
