I was speaking with an aging schoolteacher who believes that AI is destroying education. They challenged me to come up with 26 ways that artificial intelligence (AI) is improving education, and instead, I came up with. They’re right here.

  • Classroom Management/Behavior Management. AI is now being utilized to assist instructors in managing pupil behavior and the entire classroom.
  • Assistive Technology. AI is currently being used to assist special needs students in gaining access to a more egalitarian education. For example, artificial intelligence performs mundane chores such as reading passages to a visually challenged learner.
  • Coding. AI is now being used to teach students how to code.
  • Gamification. Artificial intelligence is presently being used to assist and administer instructional games.
  • Early Childhood Education. AI is being used to power interactive games that teach children basic academic abilities, among other things.
  • Adaptive Learning. AI is now being utilized to teach learners basic and advanced skills by assessing their current ability level and producing a guided instructional experience that assists them in becoming adept.
  • Planning a lesson. AI is now being utilized to create lesson plans. All instructors have to do is establish a few settings, and AI will take care of the rest.
  • Language Study. AI is currently being used to assist students in learning another language. In reality, there are hundreds of AI-powered language learning apps available.
  • Writing. AI is currently being used to assist students in developing their writing talents. I’m now writing this essay with the assistance of a grammar and usage app.
  • Test Preparation. AI is currently being utilized to assist students in studying for examinations. It employs the same adaptive learning procedure that we explained previously.
  • Scheduling. AI is currently being utilized to assist educators in scheduling high school and college courses, as well as individuals in managing their daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly schedules.
  • Assessment. Currently, artificial intelligence is being used to grade examinations for educators. Even essays can be graded by AI.
  • Audio-visual in the classroom. AI is currently being utilized to manage audio-visual systems in classrooms. Simply tell AI what you want it to do.
  • Parent-Teacher Collaboration. AI is currently being utilized to facilitate parent-teacher communication, hence increasing parental involvement.
  • Diagnosis. Artificial intelligence is currently being utilized to diagnose reading and academic issues. Learners can even be screened for learning difficulties using AI.
  • Analytics for Data and Learning. Educators and educational administrators are currently using AI to evaluate and understand data.
  • LMSs are Learning Management Systems. Online teachers are currently using AI to handle online learning as well as flipped or mixed learning.
  • Substitute Management and Staff Scheduling. Education administrators are currently using AI to manage staff scheduling. For example, if a teacher advises you that they will be out sick the next day, AI can contact and confirm the availability of a suitable substitute. Following that, it will update the system, letting you know that the substitute has been secured.
  • Transportation. AI is now being used to handle school transportation networks.
  • Maintenance. AI is presently being utilized to manage and monitor maintenance workflow for school districts, as well as to dispatch staff members to schools in need of assistance.
  • Professional advancement. Currently, AI is being utilized to give professional development to educators, allowing them to learn at their pace.
  • Management of facilities. AI is presently being used to manage a complete school district’s facilities, monitoring the state of power, Wi-Fi, and water services and alerting facilities management employees when issues develop.
  • Finance. Education administrators are currently using AI to manage their schools’ budgets, make purchases, and so on.
  • Management of a school. AI is currently being utilized to manage entire schools, powering learner record systems, transportation, information technology, maintenance, scheduling, and budgeting, among other things
  • Cybersecurity. School IT workers are actively using AI to protect their school network and its users from attackers.
  • Safety and security are paramount. Artificial intelligence is currently being utilized to prevent school shootings by monitoring the school environment and recognizing any potential risks.
