Samsung DeX is a powerful feature that transforms your Samsung smartphone into a desktop computing experience. However, some users have reported issues when trying to use Samsung DeX with their Windows 11 machines. If you’re facing problems with Samsung DeX not working correctly on your computer, here are nine fixes you can try.

1. Check Cable Connections:

First and foremost, ensure that the USB cable used to connect your Samsung device to the PC is in good condition and properly connected. Sometimes, a loose connection can hinder the functionality of Samsung DeX.

2. Update Samsung DeX Software:

Make sure that you have the latest version of Samsung DeX installed on both your smartphone and Windows 11 PC. Updates often come with bug fixes and improvements.

3. Enable Samsung DeX on Your Phone:

Navigate to the settings on your Samsung phone and ensure that DeX mode is turned on when connected to a PC.

4. Update Your Windows 11 Operating System:

Keeping your operating system up-to-date can resolve many compatibility issues. Check for any pending Windows updates and install them.

5. Check USB Debugging Mode:

Sometimes enabling USB debugging on your smartphone can rectify connection issues. Go to Developer Options on your phone’s settings and turn on USB Debugging.

6. Reinstall Samsung USB Drivers:

Faulty or outdated drivers can prevent DeX from working correctly. Try reinstalling Samsung USB drivers on your PC to see if this resolves the issue.

7. Restart Your Devices:

A classic fix that often works wonders is restarting both your Windows 11 PC and Samsung smartphone to reset any temporary glitches affecting connectivity.

8. Try Different USB Ports:

Not all USB ports are created equal, and sometimes a different port can make all the difference—preferably a USB-C or a USB 3.0 port for optimal performance.

9. Consult With Support:

If all else fails, reaching out to Samsung’s customer support may provide you with additional troubleshooting steps or indicate if there’s a more significant issue at play.

Before following these steps, remember to back up any important data from both your PC and smartphone as a precautionary measure. Hopefully, one of these solutions will get your Samsung DeX up and running flawlessly on Windows 11!
