Are you frustrated because you can’t hear the latest viral videos on Twitter? You tap play, and the excitement quickly fades away as you realize there’s no sound. This problem affects many users across both Android and iPhone devices. But worry not – we have compiled a list of top fixes that can help you restore the euphonious tweets to your daily social media scrolling.

1. Check Device Volume and Mute Switch

The simplest fix might just be the solution! Make sure your device’s volume is turned up. For iPhone users, check if the mute switch isn’t engaged inadvertently.

2. Restart the Application

Give Twitter a fresh start. On Android, go to ‘Settings’, then ‘Apps’, find Twitter, and tap ‘Force Stop’. On an iPhone, swipe up from the bottom of the screen and swipe up on the Twitter app preview to close it, then re-launch the app.

3. Update the Twitter App

Outdated apps sometimes behave incorrectly. Open your device’s app store, find Twitter and update if a newer version is available.

4. Check for Phone Software Updates

Keeping your operating system up-to-date ensures that apps function optimally. For updates on Android, go to ‘Settings’, scroll down to ‘About phone’, and select ‘System updates’. For iPhone, go into ‘Settings’, then ‘General’, followed by ‘Software Update’.

5. Look at Your Device’s Sound Settings

On some devices, media and notification sounds are managed separately. Ensure that media volume is turned up in your sound settings.

6. Uninstall and Reinstall Twitter

Sometimes a fresh install is all it takes to resolve quirky glitches. Uninstall Twitter from your device and then reinstall it from your app store.

7. Clear Cache (Android Only)

Over time, cached data might get corrupted and cause issues like no sound on videos. To clear cache on Android: Go to ‘Settings’, then ‘Apps’, find Twitter and select ‘Clear Cache’.

These fixes are usually quite effective in resolving sound issues with the Twitter app on both Android phones and iPhones. If none of them work, consider reaching out to Twitter support for further assistance.
