Massachusetts is rich in American history, and many of its small towns boast beautifully preserved historic districts. Here are some of the best:

  1. Concord

Home to authors like Louisa May Alcott and Ralph Waldo Emerson, Concord’s historic district includes sites like the Old North Bridge and the Orchard House.

  1. Deerfield

The mile-long main street of Old Deerfield is a National Historic Landmark, featuring beautifully preserved 18th and 19th-century houses.

  1. Nantucket

The entire island is a National Historic Landmark District, with its cobblestone streets and pre-Civil War buildings.

  1. Lexington

Known for its role in the American Revolution, Lexington’s historic district includes the Lexington Battle Green and numerous colonial-era buildings.

  1. Salem

Famous for the witch trials, Salem’s historic district includes the House of Seven Gables and the Peabody Essex Museum.

  1. Stockbridge

This Berkshires town, immortalized by Norman Rockwell, features a quintessential New England main street and historic homes.

These towns offer a perfect blend of history, architecture, and small-town charm. Whether you’re a history buff or just looking for a picturesque getaway, these historic districts are well worth a visit.

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech. We hope to provide a well-rounded, multi-faceted look at the past, present, the future of EdTech in the US and internationally.

We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
