Australia is famed for its vast distances, both within the country and to other parts of the world, which makes flying first class a particularly tempting proposition for those wanting to travel in comfort and style. Several airlines offer luxurious first-class cabins that can make your journey from or within Australia a memorable experience. Here are seven of the best first class cabins that Australian flyers can enjoy:

1.Qantas First Class (A380) –The Qantas First Suite is a haven of luxury at 35,000 feet with features like a fully flat bed, direct aisle access, delectable dining options curated by leading chefs, and superb Australian wines. The suite also provides a personal 17-inch touchscreen TV loaded with entertainment.

2.Emirates First Class (A380) –Known for its opulence, Emirates offers private suites with sliding doors, personal mini-bar, adjustable ambient lighting, and the opportunity for an onboard shower. The entertainment system is state-of-the-art, and the ‘Dine on Demand’ service is excellent.

3.Singapore Airlines Suites (A380) –Designed by French luxury yacht designer Jean-Jacques Coste, these individual suites with sliding doors have standalone beds, plush leather armchairs by Poltrona Frau, and a 32-inch HD monitor. Their Book the Cook service allows you to order gourmet meals before flying.

4.Etihad Airways First Class Apartments (A380) –Flying redefined with the introduction of apartments in the sky; these are substantially more spacious than traditional first-class seats with a separate reclining lounge seat and full-length bed. A personal wardrobe and an onboard chef enhance the experience.

5.Cathay Pacific First Class (Boeing 777) –Offering one of the widest seats in the sky, Cathay Pacific’s first-class service also features excellent bedding and amenity kits designed by Bamford. The entertainment system is comprehensive, and the Asian inspired cuisine is complemented by fine wines.

6.ANA First Class ‘The Suite’ (Boeing 777) –Recently redesigned ‘The Suite’ offers a private space with doors up to six feet in height for maximum privacy. Features include an enormous 43-inch 4K monitor, ‘The Aroma’ personal fragrance service and impeccable Japanese hospitality.

7.British Airways First (Boeing 787 Dreamliner & Boeing 777)– With a unique blend of British elegance, BA’s first class includes stylish suites enhanced by mood lighting, a turndown service for sleeping comfortably on long flights, an extensive fine dining menu as well as an excellent afternoon tea service.

Each of these first class cabins offers Australian flyers an exclusive way to travel with maximum comfort. Whether it’s privacy you seek or gourmet dining above the clouds, you’re spoilt for choice when departing from Down Under.
