Cooking crab legs in an air fryer is a quick, efficient, and delicious method to enjoy this seafood delight. Both fresh and frozen crab legs can be cooked to perfection with the right technique. Here’s your guide on how to do it:

Ingredients:

– 1 pound of crab legs (fresh or frozen)

– Butter (melted, for serving)

– Lemon wedges (for serving)

– Seasonings: Old Bay seasoning, garlic powder, or any other preferred spices

Instructions for Fresh Crab Legs:

1. Preheat your air fryer to 370°F (187°C).

2. If the crab legs are too large to fit in the air fryer basket, break or cut them into smaller sections.

3. Lightly brush the crab legs with melted butter and sprinkle your chosen seasonings over them.

4. Place the crab legs in the air fryer basket in a single layer, ensuring they’re not overcrowded.

5. Cook for 3-4 minutes if they are already pre-cooked and just need heating through. If they are raw, cook for 8-10 minutes until fully cooked through.

6. Remove the crab legs from the air fryer and serve with extra melted butter and lemon wedges.

Instructions for Frozen Crab Legs:

1. Preheat your air fryer to 370°F (187°C).

2. Rinse the frozen crab legs under cold water to remove any ice glaze and pat them dry with paper towels.

3. Lightly brush the crab legs with melted butter and apply your chosen seasonings.

4. Place the crab legs in the air fryer basket without overlapping.

5. Cook for 4-5 minutes if they are already pre-cooked and just need heating through. For raw frozen crab legs, cook for 10-12 minutes until hot and steamy.

6. Remove from the air fryer and serve immediately with melted butter and lemon slices.

Tips:

– Thaw frozen crab legs before cooking if you have time; it can result in more even cooking.

– Be careful not to overcook the crab as it can become tough.

– Always preheat your air fryer for best results.

Whether you prefer fresh or frozen, following these simple steps will ensure you can enjoy succulent, perfectly cooked crab legs right at home without any fuss – thanks to your trusty air fryer!
