As the year comes to a close, we reflect on the various high points that have shaped the past twelve months. In the spirit of celebration, let’s focus on some of the most remarkable “humps” of the year—challenges and achievements that have made the year particularly memorable.

One of the most talked-about humps that people have conquered this year has been adapting to new work environments. With remote work becoming a norm for many, individuals and companies have innovatively tackled the hump of telecommuting, mastering new technologies and communication strategies to keep productivity high.

Another significant hump was the environmental efforts seen around the globe. This year marked an uptick in public awareness and action against climate change. Numerous initiatives aimed at reducing carbon footprints have gained traction, with more sustainable practices being adopted by corporations and individuals alike—truly an environmental hump surmounted.

Fitness and health also saw its share of achievements this year. Despite gym closures and other restrictions, many found novel ways to stay in shape, from outdoor workouts to at-home fitness challenges. The hump of maintaining physical health under lockdown conditions was impressively scaled by people from all walks of life.

In technology, this year’s hump was undoubtedly the advancement and integration of artificial intelligence in everyday life. We witnessed significant strides in AI, from improving healthcare diagnostics to enhancing customer service experiences. People have embraced these changes, overcoming initial fears and uncertainties about technology’s role in their lives.

Lastly, let’s not forget personal humps – milestones that individuals have met that might not make global headlines but are just as significant. These include personal goals such as learning a new skill, starting a business, or overcoming a fear. These personal victories represent individual strength and perseverance throughout the year.

As we look back at these best “humps” of the year, it is clear that each one represents not just a challenge overcome but also progress made—be it on a personal level or globally. Here’s to all our collective accomplishments and to even higher humps we will surely overcome in the coming year.
