In today’s world, savvy shoppers are always looking for ways to save money and get the most value out of every purchase. That’s where cashback apps come in — applications that reward you with a percentage of your purchase price simply by going through them to make your buys. These apps have revolutionized the way consumers shop and save. Here’s a look at some of the best cashback apps that can help stretch your dollars further.

Rakuten (formerly Ebates)

Rakuten is renowned for offering extensive cashback options with over 2,500 retailers including Amazon, Walmart, and eBay. Users can earn up to 40% cash back on purchases made through the Rakuten portal and even get a $10 bonus upon signing up and making a qualifying purchase.

Ibotta

A favorite for grocery shoppers, Ibotta allows users to select offers before they shop and then upload a receipt afterward to earn cashback. Ibotta works with a wide variety of retailers, from grocery stores to online merchants, and provides instant cashback offers on specific products.

Honey

Honey is a browser extension that automatically finds and applies coupon codes at checkout with a single click. It also offers the Honey Gold feature where users can earn rewards that can be redeemed for gift cards.

Swagbucks

Swagbucks is known for providing multiple ways to earn money back including shopping online, watching videos, searching the web, or answering surveys. Cashback earned is provided in the form of Swagbucks points which can then be redeemed for gift cards or PayPal cash.

Drop

Drop is an app that rewards you for shopping at your favorite brands. Users link their debit and credit cards to the app, choose their favorite brands, and automatically earn points as they shop which can be redeemed for gift cards.

Dosh

Dosh provides automatic cashback without the need to scan receipts or click through links. Once you link your card to the Dosh app, you get cash back when making qualifying purchases at participating outlets.

Checkout 51

Checkout 51 updates its list of offers every Thursday morning. Simply buy items from their list, upload your receipt via the app or website, and earn cashback once your account balance reaches $20.

By utilizing these apps, consumers are not only able to recover money on their transactions but also take advantage of exclusive deals and offers that are not available elsewhere. Mixing and matching these apps according to where you shop can maximize your savings considerably. Remember however that while these apps offer free money on orders you would already make, they shouldn’t encourage unnecessary spending – shop wisely!
