The Best Anti-Fog for Glasses and a Mask

In the age of COVID-19, wearing masks has become an essential part of our everyday lives. For individuals with glasses, this has led to a new challenge – keeping their glasses from fogging up. Finding the ideal anti-fog solution for glasses while wearing a mask can be difficult, but in this article, we will explore some of the best options to help keep your vision clear.

1. Anti-fog Sprays

One popular solution is using anti-fog sprays specifically designed for use on glasses. These sprays work by creating a thin barrier on the lenses that prevents fog from forming. To use, simply spray a small amount onto both sides of your lenses and let it dry before wearing your glasses with a mask. Reapply as necessary throughout the day. Two popular options are Optix 55 Anti-Fog Spray and Z Clear Lens Cleaner & Anti-Fog.

2. Anti-fog Wipes

If you prefer a more portable option, anti-fog wipes are an excellent choice. Similar to sprays, these single-use wipes work by leaving a protective coating on your lenses that prevents fogging. Simply tear open the packaging, wipe your lenses thoroughly, and allow them to dry before use. A popular choice among eyeglass wearers is FogTech Dx Wipes.

3. Soap and Water Solution

This is a budget-friendly solution that you can make at home using just a drop of dish soap and water. Mix the dish soap with water in small amounts, then apply the solution to your lenses and wipe them clean with a microfiber cloth. Allow your glasses to air dry or gently wipe them clean for better visibility.

4. Mask Fit Adjustment

Sometimes, simply adjusting the fit of your mask can help prevent fogging issues on your glasses. Make sure your mask fits snugly against your nose and cheeks so that less warm air escapes upwards towards your glasses. Some masks even come with nose wires or adjustable straps, which can make it easier to achieve a tighter fit around your face.

5. Anti-fog Films and Inserts

Another option is using anti-fog films or inserts that are specifically designed for eyeglasses. To apply, peel off the protective backing and adhere the film to your lenses, providing a transparent barrier that prevents fogging. Some popular choices include LifeArt Anti-Fog Wipes with Nano Film Technology and FogBlocker Wet Wipes.

Each of these methods has its benefits and drawbacks, and sometimes a combination approach may work best for individual needs. Experimenting with various solutions will help you find the right fit to maintain clear vision when wearing glasses with a mask. Stay safe, and keep those lenses fog-free!
