Springfield Police Department to Establish Firearms Testing Center
The Springfield Police Department is set to receive a $700,000 grant from the U.S. Department of Justice to establish a Crime Gun Intelligence Center. The center will include a NIBIN machine to process ballistic evidence, significantly reducing the time required to analyze gun-related crimes.
