Snapchat Emoji Meanings to Check Friendship Levels and More

Snapchat is not only a platform for sharing quick snaps but also a space to see how your relationships bloom with friends through tiny, colorful emojis that appear next to their names. These symbols represent the type and status of your interaction with your Snapchat friends. Understanding what they mean can give insight into your friendship levels and more.

Firstly, the Gold Heart emoji means you’re best friends with each other; you send the most snaps to this person, and they reciprocate. Similarly, a Red Heart signifies that you’ve been each other’s top friend for at least two weeks straight, while a Pink Hearts symbol represents two months of continued mutual top friend status.

A Smiling Face indicates a close friend – someone you send snaps to frequently, but who is not your top friend. If you spot a Fire emoji, congratulations, you’re on a Snapstreak! You have snapped this person every day, and they have snapped you back. The number increases daily if the streak continues.

The Hundred emoji is a milestone; it appears once your Snapstreak reaches 100 days. For less frequent interactions, the Hourglass emoji warns that your Snapstreak with someone is about to end unless you both exchange snaps soon.

Moving onto newer connections, the Baby Face emoji denotes new Snapchat friends. If an emoji shows two figures with one big ear each (Two People Silhouettes), it means that one of your friends is also one of their best friends.

Snapchat also tells you about changes in friendships. If you see a Smirking Face, it suggests you are one person’s best friend, but they are not yours; rather unrequited Snapchat friendship! On the opposite side is the Grimacing Face, implying that your 1 best friend is also their 1 best friend – a shared bestie situation!

Snapchat flair doesn’t stop there. A Shooting Star signifies someone has replayed this person’s snaps in the past 24 hours. A Birthday Cake naturally appears beside someone’s name on their birthday.

Last but not least are zodiac sign emojis appearing next to the names of those who’ve entered their birthdays into Snapchat, revealing their astrological sign. This adds another playful layer to how users can connect based on astrological compatibility or just for fun.

In essence, Snapchat emojis serve as an emotional barometer and an interactive feature helping users navigate their social connections. It’s quite intricate and personal – just like any friendship can be!
