Introduction:

Discord has become a popular platform for communication and content sharing among gamers, content creators, and social communities. One common activity is sending videos, which can be achieved through various methods. In this article, we will discuss some of the simplest ways to send videos on Discord.

Method 1: Send the video as a file attachment

1. Open the Discord app or visit the web version at discord.com.

2. Navigate to the channel or chat where you want to send the video.

3. Once you are in the desired chat or channel, click on the ‘+’ icon next to the message box at the bottom of the window.

4. A file explorer window will pop up, allowing you to browse and select the video file you wish to send (keep in mind that there is an upload limit of 8MB for free users and 100MB for Nitro users).

5. Once the file is selected, click ‘Open’ and wait for your video file to upload.

6. Add an optional message along with your video before hitting ‘Enter’ to share it.

Method 2: Send videos using links

1. Upload your video on a popular video-sharing platform such as YouTube or Vimeo.

2. Copy the video link either by right-clicking on the video’s thumbnail/title and selecting ‘Copy link address’ or by navigating directly to the video and copying its URL from your browser’s address bar.

3. Go back to Discord, open the desired chat or channel where you want to share your video.

4. Paste your copied link directly into the message box and hit ‘Enter’. Discord will automatically generate a preview for supported platforms like YouTube.

Method 3: Screen Sharing (In-app feature)

1. Start a voice or group call with members within a Discord server or through direct messages.

2. After initiating a call, click on the ‘Share Screen’ button located beneath your display picture.

3. Select the application window or screen you want to share your video from among the available options.

4. Customize your streaming settings for quality and frame rate, then click on ‘Go Live’.

5. Your video will be visible to call participants through screen sharing.

Conclusion:

Sharing videos on Discord is a simple process, allowing users to connect with each other through various methods such as file attachments, links, and screen sharing. Choose the optimal method for you based on the preferred format and convenience, and enjoy sharing content with your community or friends.
