The electric world of Pokémon Go is constantly evolving, and with this comes the introduction of new, powerful Pokémon for trainers to face off against. One such Pokémon that has recently caught players’ attention is Xurkitree. A key challenge of any Pokémon battle is knowing your opponent’s weaknesses and having the best possible counters. In this article, we will explore the ultimate Xurkitree Raid Guide to ensure that you are fully prepared to take on this Ultra Beast!

Understanding Xurkitree’s Weaknesses

Xurkitree is an Electric-type Ultra Beast, which means it possesses a single weakness: Ground-type moves. When harnessing the power of Ground-type attacks, applying STAB (Same Type Attack Bonus) can be advantageous in maximizing performance during raids. As a result, while selecting your counters team, prioritize Ground-type Pokémon that can exploit this weakness.

Best Counters for Xurkitree Raid Battles

To elevate your chances of defeating Xurkitree in a raid battle, consider utilizing these top five ground type Pokémon as counters:

1. Groudon: Groudon, a legendary Ground-type Pokémon, reigns supreme when it comes to dismantling Xurkitree with its brute force. Boasting high stats in both Attack and Defense allows Groudon to neutralize huge chunks of damage from its opponents. Equip Groudon with Mud Shot for its Fast Move and either Earthquake or Precipice Blades as its Charge Move.

2. Landorus (Therian Forme): Another formidable counter against Xurkitree is Landorus in its Therian Forme. With greater Attack than Incarnate Forme, this flying hybrid becomes an exceptional choice for dealing substantial damage. Utilize Mud Shot as the Fast Move and pair it with Earth Power as the Charge Move.

3. Rhyperior: This rock-solid Ground-type Pokémon is a reliable choice when assembling a team to battle Xurkitree. Outfitted with Mud-Slap as its Fast Move and Earthquake or Rock Wrecker as its Charge Move, Rhyperior provides trainers with a safe bet in bringing the electric Ultra Beast down.

4. Excadrill: Resistant to Electric-type moves, Excadrill becomes an excellent choice when facing Xurkitree. Utilize it with Mud Slap as the Fast Move and Drill Run for the Charge Move to inflict considerable damage during raid battles.

5. Garchomp: Possessing an imposing combination of Dragon and Ground typing, Garchomp performs admirably against electric opponents like Xurkitree. With Mud Shot as its Fast Move and Earthquake or Sand Tomb for the Charge Move, Garchomp is a valuable asset to your Pokémon Go Raid team.

Final Tips

When challenging Xurkitree in a raid battle, ensure that weather conditions are in your favor. If you can engage under Sunny weather conditions, Ground-type moves will receive an additional 20% boost in power, increasing your chances of a victorious showdown.
Now equipped with this knowledge of Xurkitree’s final weaknesses and best counters, you hold the keys to mastering this challenge. So assemble your team, strategize based on these tips, and dive head-first into battle against this electrifying Ultra Beast! Good luck, Trainer!
