Introduction:

Palkia, the Water and Dragon-type Legendary Pokémon from the Sinnoh region, has made a return to Pokémon Go. Touted as one of the strongest raid bosses, trainers look forward to testing their skills and capturing this powerful Pokémon. In this article, you will find a comprehensive guide to help you tackle Palkia raids by making use of its counters, weaknesses, and understanding its moveset.

Best Counters:

To take down a Palkia effectively, it is essential to have a strong team of counters. Here are some of the most effective Pokémon you can use against Palkia:

1. Zekrom: With its outstanding Dragon-type damage output and stats, Zekrom equipped with Dragon Breath and Outrage is your go-to Pokemon for countering Palkia.

2. Rayquaza: Another powerful Dragon-type counter for Palkia is Rayquaza. It can deal massive damage when equipped with Dragon Tail and Outrage.

3. Dialga: Dialga’s typing advantage against other Dragon-types makes it an excellent choice in this raid scenario. Utilize the moveset of Dragon Breath and Draco Meteor for maximum effectiveness.

4. Salamence: This pseudo-legendary Pokémon makes for an excellent counter against Palkia when equipped with Dragon Tail and Outrage or Draco Meteor.

5. Haxorus: A solid performer against Palkia with high attack stat, Haxorus using Dragon Tail and Dragon Claw can deal significant damage to Palkia.

6. Garchomp: Bring out Garchomp with its powerful ground- and dragon-type offensive capabilities by using Dragon Tail or Mud Shot paired with Outrage or Earthquake.

Weaknesses:

To defeat Palkia in raids more efficiently, players must exploit its weaknesses. Being a Dragon/Water type, Palkia is weak to the following types:

1. Dragon-type Attacks: As a Dragon-type Pokémon, Palkia is vulnerable to Pokémon with strong Dragon-type moves.

2. Fairy-type Attacks: Fairy-type moves are also quite effective against Palkia; however, they are not as preferred due to a lack of potent Fairy-type attackers in Pokémon Go.

Moveset:
Here’s a look at Palkia’s moveset to better understand what you’re up against when raiding:

1. Fast Moves:

– Dragon Breath (Dragon)

– Dragon Tail (Dragon)

2. Charge Moves:

– Aqua Tail (Water)

– Draco Meteor (Dragon)

– Fire Blast (Fire)

– Hydro Pump (Water)

Having knowledge of this moveset can help you select Pokémon with specific resistances and formulate a more efficient strategy while battling Palkia in raids.

Conclusion:

Armed with this guide, you should be well-prepared to conquer the mighty Palkia in your next raid battle. Keep these counters and weaknesses in mind while selecting your raid team, and ensure that your Pokémon sport the recommended movesets for optimal damage output. Good luck out there, trainers!
