New Species of Bioluminescent Sea Slug Discovered
Researchers from the Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute have identified a new species of bioluminescent sea slug, Bathydevius caudactylus, in the deep sea off the coast of California. The discovery was made using a remotely operated vehicle at a depth of approximately 1,660 meters.
