Luxbox, the renowned sales and distribution company, has acquired worldwide rights to “Marie & Jolie,” a poignant religious drama directed by the acclaimed French filmmaker, Julien Rambaldi. The film boasts an impressive cast, featuring Aïssa Maïga (“The World is Yours“) and Laetitia Ky (“The Stronghold”), promising a powerful and moving narrative.

“Marie & Jolie” delves into the complex relationship between two women, Marie and Jolie, navigating the turbulent waters of faith and family. Marie, a devout Catholic, finds herself grappling with the challenges of raising her daughter, Jolie, who is questioning her religious upbringing. As Jolie seeks answers outside the confines of her mother’s faith, the film explores themes of personal growth, societal pressures, and the ever-evolving nature of belief.

The film’s production is backed by a prestigious team, including producers Jean-Luc Azoulay (“The King’s Speech“) and Thomas Langmann (“The Artist”). With a script penned by Julien Rambaldi and Alice Vial, “Marie & Jolie” promises a compelling and thought-provoking journey.

Luxbox, known for its discerning taste in international cinema, has a strong track record of bringing critically acclaimed and commercially successful films to audiences worldwide. Their acquisition of “Marie & Jolie” further strengthens their commitment to championing diverse voices and compelling storytelling.

The film is currently in post-production and is expected to make its world premiere at a prestigious international film festival in 2024. With a powerful ensemble cast and a captivating story at its core, “Marie & Jolie” is poised to resonate with audiences on both a personal and spiritual level.
