Is LinkedIn Premium Worth Paying For? 3 Things to Consider

LinkedIn has become the go-to platform for professionals looking to connect with potential employers, network with colleagues, or showcase their skills and expertise. While the basic version of LinkedIn is free, the platform also offers a premium version that comes with a range of additional features and benefits. But is LinkedIn Premium really worth paying for? In this article, we’ll explore three things to consider when weighing the benefits of paying for LinkedIn Premium.

1. The Features of LinkedIn Premium

LinkedIn Premium gives you access to a range of valuable features, including:

– Advanced search filters that allow you to search for people, jobs, and companies with much greater precision

– Insights into how you rank among other candidates for job vacancies

– The ability to message people outside of your network

– Recommended jobs, and the ability to see who has viewed your profile

These features can be incredibly valuable, especially for those looking for a new job or wanting to connect with others in their industry.

2. The Cost of LinkedIn Premium

LinkedIn Premium isn’t free, and the cost can be a major factor in deciding whether it’s worth it. The cost of LinkedIn Premium ranges from $29.99 to $59.99 per month, depending on the level of membership you choose. For some people, this cost may be prohibitive, especially if they are not actively looking for a job or networking at the moment.

However, it’s worth noting that some employers may cover the cost of LinkedIn Premium for their employees, as they recognize the value in networking and making connections on the platform.

3. Your Goals on LinkedIn

Finally, you need to consider what your goals are on LinkedIn. If you’re actively looking for a job or trying to grow your network, then LinkedIn Premium can be a valuable asset. The advanced search filters, job and salary insights, and messaging features can make it much easier to find and connect with the right people.

However, if you’re not actively job hunting or networking, then the features of LinkedIn Premium may not be as valuable to you. It may be worth waiting until you have specific goals before considering paying for LinkedIn Premium.
