Introduction:

With the release of iOS 17, Apple has brought numerous new features and improvements to enhance user experience. One of the exciting new options is the ability to set a custom image or Memoji for incoming and outgoing calls. This not only adds a personal touch but also makes it easier to identify callers at a glance. In this article, we will guide you through the simple steps to personalize your iPhone call screen with a custom image or Memoji.

Setting a Custom Image for Your iPhone Calls:

1. Launch the ‘Contacts’ app from your iPhone’s home screen.

2. Scroll through your list of contacts and choose the contact you want to add or edit a custom image for.

3. Once inside the contact’s details, tap on ‘Edit’ in the top right corner.

4. Tap on the profile picture circle beside the contact’s name.

5. If you have already assigned an image to this contact, tap ‘Edit’ under the existing photo. If not, tap on ‘Add Photo.’

6. You can choose to take a new photo using your device’s camera or select an existing photo from your gallery.

7. After selecting or taking the desired photo, use the on-screen tools to zoom in or adjust as needed.

8. Tap ‘Set’ once you are happy with your custom image.

9. Tap ‘Done’ in the top-right corner to save your changes.

Setting a Memoji for Your iPhone Calls:

1. Follow steps 1-4, as mentioned above, to reach the profile picture editing screen.

2. Instead of selecting or taking a photo, tap on the ‘Memoji’ icon located at the bottom of the screen.

3. If you haven’t created a Memoji previously, follow the prompts to make one now. For those who have created one before, they will appear on the screen.

4. Swipe left or right to browse through your Memoji collection or tap the ‘+’ icon to create a new Memoji.

5. After choosing your desired Memoji, tap ‘Set’ to assign it as your contact’s call image.

6. Tap ‘Done’ in the top-right corner to save your changes.

Conclusion:

Personalizing your iPhone call screen with custom images and Memojis is a fun and straightforward way to express yourself and add an extra layer of customization. With these simple steps, you’ll be able to jazz up your iPhone’s call screen and enjoy a unique visual identity for each one of your contacts!
