How to Use Bendy Rollers: 14 Steps

Step 1: Choose the Right Bendy Rollers

Select the appropriate size of bendy rollers for your hair type and desired curl size. Smaller rollers will create tighter curls, while larger ones will produce looser curls.

Step 2: Preparation

Before using bendy rollers, wash and condition your hair. Make sure to remove any tangles and knots. Your hair should be damp, not soaking wet.

Step 3: Divide Hair Into Sections

Separate your hair into small sections – the smaller the section, the tighter the curl. If you want loose curls, opt for larger sections.

Step 4: Apply a Styling Product

To obtain long-lasting curls, apply a styling product such as mousse or gel to each section before rolling.

Step 5: Start With a Small Section of Hair

Hold a small section of hair at the tips and place a bendy roller at the end.

Step 6: Rolling Technique

Roll the bendy roller up the strand of hair, taking care to keep it tight and secure. Stop rolling once you reach your scalp.

Step 7: Secure the Roller

Bend both ends of the roller inward to form a loop on each side to hold it in place.

Step 8: Repeat With Remaining Sections

Continue this process until all sections of your hair are rolled up in bendy rollers.

Step 9: Allow Hair to Dry

Leave the rollers in place until your hair is completely dry. You can also use a hairdryer on low heat to speed up drying time.

Step 10: Be Patient

To achieve optimal results, patience is key! Letting your hair dry with bendy rollers may take several hours. Alternatively, you can leave them in overnight.

Step 11: Removing Bendy Rollers

Start from the bottom and gently unwind each roller from your hair, taking care not to pull on or tug at your curls.

Step 12: Finger Comb Your Hair

To separate and define your curls, use your fingers to gently comb through your hair. This will help you achieve a soft, natural look.

Step 13: Apply Finishing Products

Apply a light-hold hairspray to maintain the curls throughout the day. You can also use a serum or hair oil to enhance shine and smooth frizz.

Step 14: Maintenance

To keep your curls fresh and bouncy, try using dry shampoo or light styling spray in between washes. Be gentle when brushing or combing your hair, as this can disturb curl patterns.

By following these 14 steps, you’ll be well on your way to creating beautiful curls with bendy rollers. Happy styling!
