1.Choose the right highlighter brush: The first step in using a highlighter brush is to choose the right one. Look for a brush with soft, dense bristles and a tapered or rounded shape that allows for precise application.

2.Pick the right highlighter product: There are various types of highlighter products available, such as powder, cream, or liquid. Choose one that suits your skin type and desired level of shine.

3.Prep your skin: Before applying any makeup, always cleanse and moisturize your skin to create a smooth base for application.

4.Apply your foundation: Before using a highlighter brush, apply your foundation to even out your skin tone and create a flawless canvas for the rest of your makeup.

5.Identify the areas to be highlighted: Focus on areas where light naturally hits your face, such as the cheekbones, bridge of the nose, cupid’s bow, brow bone, and inner corner of the eyes.

6.Load your brush with product: Dip the tip of the brush into your highlighter product and tap off any excess to avoid over-application.

7.Apply the highlighter: Gently sweep the brush over the desired areas in a sweeping or tapping motion, depending on your chosen highlighter type.

8.Blend for a seamless finish: After applying the highlighter, gently blend it into surrounding makeup with small circular motions using the same brush or a separate blending brush.

9.Build intensity (optional): If you prefer a more intense glow, gradually build up layers of product until you reach the desired level of shine.

10.Set your makeup: To ensure that your highlight stays in place all day, set it with a setting spray or translucent powder by lightly dusting it over the highlighted areas.

By following these ten simple steps, you can effectively use a highlighter brush to achieve a beautiful, glowing look. Remember to choose the right brush and highlighter product for your skin type, and always blend well for a seamless finish.

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech. We hope to provide a well-rounded, multi-faceted look at the past, present, the future of EdTech in the US and internationally.

We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
