1. Choose the right serum: Select a face serum that suits your particular skin type and caters to your specific skin concerns, such as hydration, anti-aging, or brightening.

2. Cleanse your face: Before applying the serum, wash your face thoroughly with a gentle cleanser to remove dirt, oil, and makeup.

3. Exfoliate your skin: Exfoliating helps remove dead skin cells and improves the absorption of the serum. Use a gentle exfoliator once or twice a week.

4. Pat your face dry: After cleansing and exfoliating, gently pat your face dry with a soft towel. Avoid rubbing or pulling the skin.

5. Apply an essence or toner (optional): If you use a facial essence or toner as part of your skincare routine, apply it before applying the serum.

6. Warm up the serum: Dispense a pea-sized amount of serum onto your fingertips. Rub your fingers together gently to warm up and activate the product.

7. Apply the serum on your face: Gently dab the serum onto your forehead, cheeks, nose, and chin. This will ensure you cover all areas of your face evenly.

8. Massage the serum into your skin: Using gentle circular motions and light pressure, massage the serum into your skin for about 30 seconds or until it’s fully absorbed.

9. Allow time for absorption: Wait for at least one minute to allow the serum to fully penetrate and absorb into your skin before moving on to other products.

10. Apply an eye cream (optional): If you use an eye cream, now is the time to apply it gently around your eye area using your ring finger.

11. Moisturize: After your serum has been absorbed, apply a moisturizer to lock in hydration and help protect your skin’s barrier function.

12. Apply sunscreen during the day: If you’re using the serum in the morning, finish your skincare routine with a broad-spectrum sunscreen to protect your skin from the sun’s harmful UV rays.

13. Be consistent: To see visible improvements in your skin, use your face serum consistently as part of your daily skincare routine. Most serums show results within a few weeks of regular use.

By following this 13-step guide on how to use a face serum, you can ensure that you’re making the most out of this highly concentrated and beneficial skincare product. With consistent use, you’ll soon notice visible improvements in your overall skin health and appearance.

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech. We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
