Reading e-books has become a popular way to enjoy literature, and with the rise of digital technology, it’s easier than ever to access a vast selection of titles. One popular platform for e-books is Google Play Books, which offers millions of titles for purchase or free download. But did you know that you can also upload your own e-books to the platform? Here’s how:

Step 1: Prepare your e-book

Before you can upload your e-book to Google Play Books, you need to make sure it’s in the appropriate format. Google Play Books supports the following file types:

EPUB

PDF

TXT

HTML

MOBI

DOC

DOCX

If your e-book is not in one of these formats, you’ll need to convert it before proceeding. There are many free online tools that can help you with this, such as Calibre or Zamzar.

Step 2: Sign in to your Google account

To upload your e-book to Google Play Books, you’ll need to sign in to your Google account. If you don’t already have one, you can create one for free.

Step 3: Access Google Play Books

Once you’re signed in to your Google account, go to Google Play Books. You can access it by typing “play.google.com/books” into your web browser.

Step 4: Upload your e-book

To upload your e-book, click on the “Upload files” button in the top right corner of the screen. Select the file you want to upload from your computer and click “Open”. Your e-book will now be uploaded to Google Play Books.

Step 5: Edit your e-book details

After your e-book has been uploaded, you can edit its details, such as the title and author name. To do this, click on the three-dot icon next to the file name and select “Edit book details”. Make any necessary changes and click “Save”.

Step 6: Read your e-book

Now that your e-book is uploaded to Google Play Books, you can read it on any device that supports the platform. You can also share it with others by sending them a link to the book’s page.

Uploading your own e-books to Google Play Books is a great way to make your writing available to a wider audience. By following these simple steps, you can easily share your work with the world. Happy reading!

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech. We hope to provide a well-rounded, multi-faceted look at the past, present, the future of EdTech in the US and internationally.

We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
