Windows 10 is the latest operating system from Microsoft that packs in a lot of new features and improvements. However, not all users are satisfied with the upgrade and may want to revert back to their old operating system. If you are looking to uninstall Windows 10, here’s a step-by-step guide on how to do so.

Before you begin the uninstallation process, back up all of your important files and documents to an external hard drive or cloud storage service. Once you have completed the backup, you can proceed with the uninstallation process.

Step 1: Access the “settings” menu

Click on the “Start” button and select “Settings”. Alternatively, you can press the “Windows key + I” on your keyboard to access the settings menu.

Step 2: Choose the “Update & Security” option

From the settings menu, select the “Update & Security” option.

Step 3: Select the “Recovery” option

Click on the “Recovery” option located on the left-hand side of the screen.

Step 4: Choose the “Go back to Windows X” option

Underneath the “Reset this PC” option, you will see the “Go back to Windows X” option (X being the previous version of Windows that you had installed). Click on it to proceed.

Step 5: Provide the reason for the uninstallation

You will be asked to provide a reason for the Windows 10 uninstallation. Choose the reason that best fits your situation.

Step 6: Follow the prompts

Follow the prompts and proceed with the uninstallation process. Your computer will restart a few times during the process, so do not be alarmed.

Step 7: Confirm the uninstallation

Once the uninstallation process is complete, you will be asked to confirm that you want to uninstall Windows 10. Click on “Yes” to proceed.

Step 8: Wait for the process to finish

The uninstallation process may take a while, so be patient and wait for it to finish.

Step 9: Sign in to your previous version of Windows

Once the uninstallation process is complete, sign in to your previous version of Windows with the same account that you were using before the upgrade.

In conclusion, while Windows 10 may not be for everyone, uninstalling it is as simple as following the simple steps outlined above. Remember to backup your important files before beginning the uninstallation process, and be patient as the process may take some time.
