If you are facing issues with your wireless network connection, it may be due to corrupt or outdated Wi-Fi drivers. Wi-Fi drivers are software programs that enable your computer to communicate with wireless devices and networks.

In this article, we will guide you through the process of uninstalling and reinstalling Wi-Fi drivers in Windows 11.

Uninstall Wi-Fi Drivers

Step 1: Press the Windows key + X and click on Device Manager.

Step 2: In the Device Manager window, locate the Network adapters option and click on the arrow to expand it.

Step 3: Right-click on the Wi-Fi adapter that you want to uninstall and click on Uninstall device.

Step 4: Select the option to delete the driver software for this device and click on Uninstall.

Reinstall Wi-Fi Drivers

Method 1: Automatic Driver Update

Windows 11 comes with a built-in tool called Device Manager that lets you update or download the latest drivers automatically.

Step 1: Press Windows key + X and click on Device Manager.

Step 2: In the Device Manager window, locate the Network adapters option and click on the arrow to expand it.

Step 3: Right-click on your Wi-Fi adapter and select Update driver.

Step 4: Select the option to search automatically for updated driver software.

Windows will search for the latest driver software for your Wi-Fi adapter and install it automatically.

Method 2: Manual Driver Update

If the automatic driver update doesn’t work, you can try updating the Wi-Fi drivers manually.

Step 1: Go to the website of your computer’s manufacturer.

Step 2: Navigate to the Support section and find the drivers for your computer.

Step 3: Find the latest Wi-Fi adapter driver and download it to your computer.

Step 4: Double-click on the downloaded file to install the driver.

Step 5: Restart your computer to complete the installation.

Conclusion

Uninstalling and reinstalling Wi-Fi drivers can help you resolve connectivity issues with your wireless network. There are two methods to update Wi-Fi drivers in Windows 11 – automatic and manual. We hope this guide helps you fix your Wi-Fi connectivity issues.
