WhatsApp is a popular messaging app with over 1.5 billion users worldwide. With its popularity, it’s not unusual to receive messages in different languages from your friends, family, or business associates. Luckily, WhatsApp offers a built-in translation feature that can help you understand these messages without any hassle.

In this article, we’ll be discussing how you can translate WhatsApp messages on Android and iPhone.

How to Translate WhatsApp Messages on Android

Translating WhatsApp messages on Android is easy, thanks to Google Translate, a popular translation app that you can download for free from the Google Play Store. Here are the steps to follow:

1. Open WhatsApp on your Android device and tap on the message you’d like to translate.

2. You’ll notice that the message is highlighted, press and hold on the text until some options appear at the top of the screen.

3. Choose the “Copy” option to copy the text. You can also select multiple messages if you want to translate more than one at a time.

4. Launch the Google Translate app and paste the message into the text box.

5. Choose the language you’d like to translate the text into and tap the “Translate” button.

6. You should now be able to read the translated message in your chosen language.

How to Translate WhatsApp Messages on iPhone

Translating WhatsApp messages on iPhone is equally easy. Unlike Android users, iPhone users do not need to download any external app as the feature is already built into the iOS. Here are the steps to follow:

1. Launch WhatsApp on your iPhone and open the message you’d like to translate.

2. Press and hold the text to highlight it, and then tap on “Copy.”

3. Go back to the chat, and then long-press on the copied text.

4. Tap on “Translate” when it appears as an option.

5. Choose the language you’d like to translate the text into.

6. You should now be able to read the translated message in your chosen language.

Conclusion

With WhatsApp’s built-in translation feature, you can easily understand and respond to messages in different languages. Whether you’re using an Android or iPhone device, the process of translating WhatsApp messages is simple and straightforward. Just follow the steps outlined above, and you’ll be good to go.
