Tipping your Lyft driver is a great way to show your appreciation for their service and to help them earn a little extra income. Here is a step-by-step guide on how to tip your Lyft driver.

1. Request a Lyft ride: Open the Lyft app on your smartphone and request a ride by entering your pickup and drop-off locations.

2. Enjoy your ride: Sit back and enjoy your ride with the knowledge that you’ll be able to tip your driver at the end of the journey.

3. Complete your ride: Once you’ve arrived at your destination, thank your driver and exit the vehicle.

4. Rate your driver: After completing the ride, you will be prompted by the app to rate your driver. Give an honest rating based on their performance – this helps them improve their service.

5. Access the tipping screen: After rating your driver, you will see a screen with options for tipping. If you close the app before tipping, you can still tip from the receipt that’s emailed to you or within the app’s ride history section.

6. Choose a predetermined amount or enter a custom tip: The app will display some suggested tip amounts based on the total cost of the ride. You can choose one of these amounts or enter a custom amount by tapping “Enter custom amount.”

7. Verify your desired tip amount: Double-check that the tip amount you selected is correct before continuing.

8. Submit your tip: Tap “Submit” or “Done” to finalize and send your tip to the driver.

9. Check for confirmation: A confirmation message will appear in the app or be sent via email once your tip has been successfully processed.

10. Keep track of past tips: Your trip history within the app will store information on rides and tips, allowing you to easily track past trips and review tipped drivers.

Remember, tipping is optional but appreciated, as it serves as a token of gratitude for the service provided by your Lyft driver. By following these 10 steps, you can easily tip your driver and make their day a little brighter.

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech. We hope to provide a well-rounded, multi-faceted look at the past, present, the future of EdTech in the US and internationally.

We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
