1. Choose a theme: First, decide on a specific anime series or a general anime theme for your party. This will help you focus on the decorations and activities that will make your event unique.

2. Set a date and time: Pick a date and time for your party that works for both you and your guests. Consider hosting it on a weekend or after school/work hours to ensure maximum attendance.

3. Create invitations: Design invitations that relate to your chosen theme. Be sure to include all relevant information, such as date, time, location, and any special instructions (e.g., cosplay encouraged!).

4. Plan your decorations: Look for inspiration in your chosen theme and create an immersive experience for your guests. Hang posters, streamers, or banners featuring favorite characters and scenes from the series.

5. Plan the menu: Plan a menu that relates to your party’s theme by including items inspired by anime or Japan culture. Consider dishes like sushi, ramen, or Japanese candy.

6. Prepare a cosplay contest: Encourage guests to dress up as their favorite characters from the anime and host a contest with prizes for the most creative or accurate cosplay.

7. Organize anime screenings: Set up a viewing area where guests can watch episodes or films from the chosen theme throughout the event.

8. Plan games and activities: Keep the party engaging with fun games and activities related to anime culture, like Anime Trivia or Pocky Challenge.

9.Create a playlist: Compile a playlist of popular songs and soundtracks from various anime series to provide background music during the event.

10. Make goodie bags: Prepare take-home favors filled with treats like Japanese candy, keychains, stickers, or small manga collections as a thank you for attending.

11. Plan an art station: The artistically inclined can draw their favorite characters or create their own manga panels. Provide sketchbooks, pencils, and markers for guests to use.

12. Set up a photo booth: Designate a space where guests can snap fun memories with friends and show off their cosplay creations. Provide anime-related props and backdrops for the ultimate photo opportunity.

13. Communicate the dress code: If you’d like your party to be a more formal affair or have specific requirements, make sure to mention this in the invitations to help your guests plan accordingly.

14. Prepare for emergencies: In case unexpected situations arise, have a first aid kit and extra supplies on hand. Keep contact information for local emergency services nearby.

15. Enjoy the party!: Once all your hard work is complete, have fun and enjoy your anime-themed evening with friends. Remember, the most important thing is that everyone has a great time celebrating their shared love of anime!

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech. We hope to provide a well-rounded, multi-faceted look at the past, present, the future of EdTech in the US and internationally.

We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
