Google Calendar is a powerful tool to manage your work schedule, keep track of important events and meetings, and organize your personal life. With the ability to set working hours, you can ensure that your calendar accurately reflects your availability to colleagues, clients, and friends. Here’s how to set working hours in Google Calendar.

Step 1: Open Your Google Calendar

The first step is to open your Google calendar. You can do this by going to the Google Calendar website or opening the Google Calendar app on your phone.

Step 2: Open Your Calendar Settings

Click on the gear icon located at the top right corner of your Google Calendar. From the drop-down menu, select “Settings.”

Step 3: Scroll Down to Working Hours

On the left-hand side of Google Calendar settings, you will see several options. Scroll down until you find “Working Hours.”

Step 4: Set Your Working Hours

In the Working Hours section, you can specify the days and times you want to mark as your working hours. By default, the boxes will be checked from Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM. If these are not your typical working hours, you can edit the fields to reflect your ideal schedule.

Step 5: Save Your Changes

Once you have set your working hours, click “Save” at the bottom of the screen. Your changes will be saved and reflected in your Google Calendar.

Step 6: Optional: Show Only Working Hours

If you prefer to only see your working hours in your calendar, you can select “Show only working hours” in the “View Options” menu. This will hide non-working hours from your calendar and make it easier to see your available times.

Final Thoughts

Setting your working hours in Google Calendar is an easy and essential step to ensure that you keep track of your availability and prevent scheduling conflicts with clients, colleagues, or friends. By following the above steps, you can easily set and adjust your working hours, making your calendar even more user-friendly and efficient.
