In Windows 10, users can set live wallpapers and animated desktop backgrounds to give their desktops a new look and feel. This feature allows users to personalize their desktop backgrounds with motion graphics and interactive visuals, making their workspace more appealing and engaging.

Here are the steps to set live wallpapers and animated desktop backgrounds in Windows 10:

Step 1: Right-click on the desktop and select “Personalize.”

Step 2: In the Personalization window, select “Background” from the left sidebar.

Step 3: Under the Background settings, click on the drop-down menu under “Background” and select “Slideshow.”

Step 4: Here you can add folders to create a slideshow of your desired images. You can also select the timing for the slideshow and choose an aspect ratio.

Step 5: If you would like to set an animated wallpaper, you will need to download and install a third-party app such as Wallpaper Engine or RainWallpaper.

Step 6: Once the app is installed, select the animated wallpaper you want and download it.

Step 7: Right-click on the desktop and select “Personalize” again.

Step 8: Scroll down and click on “Themes.”

Step 9: Click on “Theme settings” under “Related Settings.”

Step 10: Under “Themes,” click on “Desktop icon settings.”

Step 11: In the Desktop Icon Settings window, click on “Browse.”

Step 12: Navigate to the folder where the animated wallpaper is located, select it, and click on “OK.”

Step 13: Exit the Desktop Icon Settings window and return to the Personalization window.

Step 14: Click on “Background” again and select “Picture.”

Step 15: Browse to the folder where the animated wallpaper is located and select it.

Step 16: Click on “Choose a fit” and select “Fill.”

Step 17: Save the changes and exit the window. The animated wallpaper should now be applied as the desktop background.

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech. We hope to provide a well-rounded, multi-faceted look at the past, present, the future of EdTech in the US and internationally.

We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
