Outlook.com is a popular email platform that is widely used for personal and professional communication. One of the features that makes email reliable is the ability to access full email headers. Full email headers provide essential information about an email, including the sender’s IP address, message ID, routing information, and more. In this article, we will guide you on how to see full email headers in Outlook.com.

Step 1: Login to Your Outlook.com Account

The first step to viewing full email headers in Outlook.com is to log in to your account. Enter your email address and password, then click on the “Sign in” button. Once you are logged in, navigate to your inbox.

Step 2: Open the Email You Want to View Headers For

Select the email you want to view headers for by clicking on it. Once the email is open, find the “More actions” menu located at the top of the email message. Click on this menu to expand it.

Step 3: Click on “View Message Source”

Within the “More actions” menu, you will see an option for “View message source.” Click on this option to view the full email headers.

Step 4: View the Full Email Headers

Once you have clicked on “View message source,” a new window will appear displaying the full email headers. Here, you can see information such as the sender’s IP address, the message ID, and other routing information.

Step 5: Analyze the Headers

After viewing the full email headers, you should analyze the information to determine the legitimacy of the email. Check the sender’s email address, their IP address, and message ID to see if they seem reliable.

In Conclusion, viewing full email headers is an essential skill when it comes to identifying fraudulent and spam emails. With the steps outlined above, you can easily view full email headers on Outlook.com. Remember to analyze the headers to determine the legitimacy of the email, and always exercise caution when opening emails from unknown senders.
