Introduction:

Accidentally deleting an important voicemail can be frustrating, but don’t worry; there’s a good chance you can quickly restore it on your iPhone. In this article, we will walk you through the steps required to recover a deleted voicemail, saving you time and unnecessary stress.

Step 1: Open the Phone App & Navigate to Voicemail

First, locate and open the Phone app on your iPhone. Once you’ve opened it, make sure you are in the “Voicemail” tab, which is located at the bottom-right corner of the screen. If you’ve accidentally navigated elsewhere, tap “Voicemail” again to return to the main voicemail screen.

Step 2: Access the Recently Deleted Voicemails Folder

Scroll down to the bottom of your voicemails list to find a folder labeled “Deleted Messages”. This folder stores any recently deleted voicemails, making it possible for you to recover them. Tap on “Deleted Messages” to access this folder.

Step 3: Locate and Select the Deleted Voicemail

Once inside the Deleted Messages folder, scroll through the list of deleted voicemails until you find the one you want to restore. Tap on it in the list and then tap on “Play” at the bottom of the screen to listen and confirm that it is indeed the correct voicemail.

Step 4: Restore and Relocate the Deleted Voicemail

If you’re confident that you’ve found the desired deleted voicemail message, tap on “Undelete” below its timestamp. This action will move it back into your main voicemails list.
As an alternative method, if your phone has iOS 15 or later installed:

1. Go to Settings > Siri & Search > Voice Mail Suggestions

2. Turn On voice mail suggestions.

3. Now open Apple search bar and type in some keywords related to the deleted voicemail. It should be recovered and displayed by Siri.

Step 5: Verify the Restoration

To confirm that the voicemail has been restored successfully, return to your main voicemail tab by tapping “Voicemail” once again. Locate the recovered message in your main messages list, and play it again to ensure it’s in its proper place.

Conclusion:

Restoring a deleted voicemail on an iPhone can be a quick and simple process. By following these straightforward steps, you can avoid panic and easily recover any voice messages that were accidentally deleted. Utilizing the built-in “Recently Deleted” folder is a great way to prevent permanent loss of important information, so always keep this feature in mind when managing voicemails on your iPhone.
