How to Play Bingo: 13 Steps
Bingo is a classic game that has been enjoyed by people of all ages for generations. Whether you’re new to the game or haven’t played in years, this guide will show you how to play Bingo in 13 easy steps!
1. Gather materials: To play Bingo, you’ll need Bingo cards, Bingo markers (such as chips or daubers), and a caller’s chart.
2. Distribute Bingo cards: Each player receives one or more Bingo cards. There is no limit to the number of cards a player can have, but more cards increase the chances of winning.
3. Choose a caller: The caller is the person who will call out the random numbers during the game. This person can be selected by a random draw or mutual agreement.
4. Explain the game: Make sure that all players understand the rules and objective of the game, which is to be the first to form a predetermined pattern on their card using the called numbers.
5. Prepare the caller’s chart: The caller will use a chart containing numbers 1-75, organized under five columns labeled B-I-N-G-O, one for each letter of the word.
6. Generate random numbers: The caller randomly chooses a number from their chart and announces it loudly for all players to hear. For example, “B5” or “N38.”
7. Mark your card: When a player hears a number called that appears on their card(s), they should use their marker to cover it.
8. Repeat steps 6-7: Continue generating and calling random numbers until someone wins.
9. Check for a winning pattern: When a player forms an agreed-upon pattern on their card(s), they should shout “Bingo!” immediately. Common patterns include five numbers in a row horizontally, vertically, or diagonally; four corners; and blackout (covering all spaces).
10. Verify the winner: The caller will check the winning card to ensure that the correct numbers have been called to form the pattern
11. Announce the winner: If the card is verified as a winner, the caller will announce it, and the game ends. The player then receives a prize or points.
12. Create a new game: To play another round, either use fresh cards or wipe your current cards clean if they’re reusable. Mix up and redistribute the numbers to players.
13. Play as long as desired: Repeat steps 2-12 for multiple rounds and enjoy an entertaining time with friends or family!
Now that you know how to play Bingo in 13 simple steps, gather some friends and start calling out those numbers for a fun-filled evening!
