1. Empty your wallet: Start by removing everything from your wallet, including cards, cash, receipts, and any other items.

2. Sort the contents: Lay out all the items on a table or flat surface and separate them into categories such as credit cards, ID cards, cash, coins, receipts, and miscellaneous items.

3. Discard unnecessary items: Dispose of expired cards, old receipts, and any other items that you don’t need to carry around with you on a regular basis.

4. Prioritize essential items: Determine which items are most important for you to have in your wallet at all times. These may include your ID card, credit or debit cards, driver’s license, and insurance card.

5. Utilize compartmentalization: Store essential items in easy-to-access compartments in your wallet. Use different pockets or sleeves for different types of cards or documents to keep them organized.

6. Keep cash and coins separate: Designate one area for bills and a separate area or compartment for coins to avoid clutter and make transactions easier.

7. Store receipts properly: If you need to keep certain receipts for expenses or returns, designate a specific area in your wallet to store them neatly folded or rolled up.

8. Limit carry-on loyalty cards: Carry only the loyalty or membership cards that you frequently use to minimize clutter. Alternatively, consider using an app on your smartphone to house digital versions of these cards.

9. Update your emergency contact information: Ensure that you have current emergency contact information printed out or written down in a visible area of your wallet.

10. Take photos of important documents: If you’re worried about losing your wallet or having it stolen, take photos of important documents (like your driver’s license) and store them securely on your smartphone as an added layer of security.

11. Use a zippered pocket for small essentials: Place small items like spare keys or SD cards in a zippered compartment or pocket to prevent them from getting lost.

12. Routinely clear out your wallet: Periodically go through your wallet to remove old receipts, expired cards, and any other unnecessary items that have made their way into it.

13. Invest in a wallet right for you: Finally, if your current wallet isn’t helping you stay organized, consider investing in a new wallet with the space and features that support your organizational needs. Look for wallets with designated compartments for different items, adequate card storage, and durable materials to keep your belongings secured.

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech. We hope to provide a well-rounded, multi-faceted look at the past, present, the future of EdTech in the US and internationally.

We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
