1. Get comfortable:
Before starting to learn the Nae Nae dance, make sure you are wearing comfortable clothes and shoes that allow you to move freely.
2. Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart:
Begin by standing with your feet shoulder-width apart, maintaining a relaxed posture with your knees slightly bent.
3. Position your arms:
Raise your right arm above your head, forming a vertical line with your hand and arm. Keep your left arm down and relaxed at your side.
4. Start swaying:
Sway left and right in a rhythmic motion, shifting weight from one foot to the other. Keep both feet firmly planted on the ground while rocking back and forth.
5. Move your hips:
As you sway, add some hip movement by rotating it from side to side along with the direction of your swaying body.
6. Bend and unbend your knees:
Add an up-and-down motion to your swaying by bending and unbending your knees as you rock side to side. This adds a bounce effect to the dance, making it more dynamic
7. Sync hand movements with hips:
As you move your hips side to side, coordinate the movement of your right-hand (above your head) with it—moving it left when you shift weight and hips to the left and vice versa.
8. Add some attitude:
The Nae Nae dance is known for its laid-back style, so feel free to inject some personality into it by adding facial expressions or additional hand movements, like waving or pointing.
9. Practice and have fun!
Mastering the Nae Nae takes time, so keep practicing until you feel comfortable with the moves. Remember that dancing is all about having fun and expressing yourself. Enjoy yourself as you find your groove in this trendy dance!
