Meditation has been practiced for centuries as a means to achieve inner peace, relaxation, and spiritual growth. One popular form of meditation is Sahaja Yoga, which focuses on self-realization and balancing one’s inner energies. Here are ten steps to help guide you through a Sahaja Yoga meditation session.
1. Find a quiet and comfortable space: Choose a peaceful area where you can sit comfortably without any distractions. Make sure it is clean and has good ventilation.
2. Sit down cross-legged: Sit on the floor or a cushion with your legs crossed in a comfortable position. If sitting on the floor is uncomfortable, you can also use a chair with your feet flat on the ground.
3. Close your eyes: Gently close your eyes, allowing your body to relax and settle into a tranquil state.
4. Focus on your breathing: Pay attention to your natural breathing rhythm, inhaling and exhaling slowly without forcing it. This will help calm your mind and prepare you for deeper meditation.
5. Place your hands on your lap: Rest your left hand, palm facing upwards, on your left lap while placing your right hand over the left hand with both palms facing up.
6. Connect with the earth: Focus on feeling grounded like a tree with deep roots reaching into the earth, encouraging stability and balance.
7. Awaken the Kundalini energy: In Sahaja Yoga, Kundalini energy resides at the base of the spine as a coiled serpent that rises upon awakening. Visualize this energy uncoiling and rising up through the seven chakras in your subtle body.
8. Reflect upon each chakra individually: As you feel the Kundalini energy rise, focus your attention on each chakra one by one from the base to the crown, reflecting on its qualities and attributes.
9. Silence your mind: Allow any thoughts or distractions to pass by without engaging them as you maintain your focus on the Kundalini energy and chakras.
10. Reap the benefits: Once you have completed your Sahaja Yoga meditation session, take a moment to gradually open your eyes and bask in the peaceful calm and inner balanced state that has been cultivated.
By integrating these ten steps into your Sahaja Yoga meditation practice, you’ll soon discover the potential for personal growth, elevated consciousness, and overall wellbeing. With regular practice, Sahaja meditation can provide an oasis of tranquility amid life’s chaos and help you achieve a deeper connection with your true self.
