In today’s world, where most of our work is done on computers, it is essential to have a computer screen that suits your visual requirements. To do that, you must know the size of your computer screen. But not everyone knows how to measure a computer screen accurately. This article will guide you on how to measure the size of your computer screen.

Method 1: Measure Diagonally

The most commonly used method to measure the size of a computer screen is by measuring it diagonally from one corner to another. To do that, you need a measuring tape. Put one end of the measuring tape on the top left corner of the screen and stretch it to the bottom right corner. The length from end to end in inches will give you the diagonal size of your computer screen. For example, if you measured 15.6 inches diagonally, your computer screen size is 15.6 inches.

Method 2: Measuring Length and Height

If you want to know the width and height measurement of your computer screen, you can do that by measuring the width and height of the viewable area of the screen. To do that, you need a ruler or a tape measure.

First, you need to measure the width of the viewable area of the screen. Start from the left side of the screen to the right side, and note down the measurement in inches. Next, measure the height of the viewable area of the screen. Start from the top of the screen to the bottom and note down the measurement in inches.

Once you have your width and height measurements, you can add them together to get the diagonal measurement. You can also use an online calculator to do the math for you.

Method 3: Check the Manufacturer’s Information

Lastly, if you don’t have access to a measuring tape or a ruler, you can check your computer’s manufacturer’s information. Most manufacturers label their computer screens with the size. You can use this information to determine the size of your computer screen. You can also find this information on the computer’s manual or the packaging box.

In conclusion, measuring a computer screen is not difficult, and it is essential to know the size for the best viewing experience. You can measure it diagonally, measure the width and height, or check the manufacturer’s information. Knowing the size of your computer screen will help you choose the right accessories such as a monitor stand or a screen protector.
